The title implies that this self portrait encompasses the qualities of every person. I get the impression of unity when I observe this piece because it classifies all people in one category. Though we are all very different and have differing backgrounds and qualities, we are all unified in that we are people. The vast array of colors used in this piece further support this concept. Also, the circle may work as a symbol for unity and inclusiveness. The fact that the many shapes and colors are not confined within the circle seems to further imply that we are all different and not bound to be represented in one particular way.
Cool thoughts, Nicole.
Thanks.
